1About these terms
These terms apply to anyone who uses theacsglobal.com. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
The website is run by ACS Global Consultants Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15387390). Our registered office is 5 Westley Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham, B27 7UQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@theacsglobal.com or on 07852 878789.
These terms cover the website only. If you use our services, such as having us apply to universities for you, separate service terms apply, and we will give you those before we start. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
2Using our website
You can use the website free of charge for your own information. Please do not:
- use it in any way that breaks the law or harms anyone;
- try to get unauthorised access to the website, its server or any connected system;
- send viruses or other harmful code, or overload the website;
- copy large parts of the website, or use automated tools to collect its content, for commercial purposes.
If you send us information through the website, such as an enquiry or an application, it must be true and your own. You must have permission to share anyone else's details, such as a parent's.
3Information on this website is general
Our guides, articles and pages give general information about studying abroad, university entry, student finance and visas. They are not advice about your personal situation.
University entry requirements, fees, visa rules and student finance rules change often, sometimes at short notice. We work to keep the website accurate and show when guides were last updated, but we cannot promise every detail is current on the day you read it. Before you make a decision, check the details with us or with the official source, such as the university, GOV.UK or the relevant embassy.
4No guarantee of admission, visa or funding
Decisions on admission, visas and funding are made by others, not by us. Universities decide who they admit. Embassies, consulates and immigration authorities decide visa applications. Student Finance England and other funding bodies decide funding.
Where the website mentions figures such as students placed or visa success rates, these describe our past results. They do not guarantee the outcome of any future application.
5Our services
The website describes the services we offer, but using it does not create an agreement for those services. That only happens when you ask us to act for you and accept our service terms. If a service has a fee, we will tell you the amount and what it covers before you commit.
6UK immigration advice
In the UK, only advisers regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority, or otherwise authorised by law, can give advice on a person's own UK immigration matters. We are not a regulated immigration adviser. We do not give advice on UK visa or immigration applications. For that, please contact your university's international student advice service or a regulated adviser, whom you can find on the Immigration Advice Authority's register on GOV.UK.
7Links to other websites
The website links to other sites, such as universities, GOV.UK, embassies, ICEF and our social media pages. We include them for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they use your data.
8Our content and brand
The text, design, images and logo on this website belong to ACS Global Consultants Limited or are used with permission. You may view, print and share pages for your own personal use. Please do not copy, republish or use our content, name or logo for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
9Your information
Our Privacy and Cookie Policy explains what personal data we collect through the website and how we use it, and the cookie banner lets you choose whether we use analytics cookies.
10Our responsibility to you
The website is provided free, for general information. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when you used the website.
We are not responsible for:
- decisions you make based only on general information on the website, without checking it with us or the official source (see section 3);
- decisions made by universities, embassies, consulates, immigration authorities or funding bodies (see section 4);
- the content of other websites we link to (see section 7);
- any business losses, if you use the website for business purposes.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11Website availability
We aim to keep the website available and working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free from errors. We may change, suspend or remove parts of it at any time, for example to update content or carry out maintenance.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the law changes or we add features to the website. The version on this page when you use the website is the one that applies. The date below shows when they were last updated.
13Questions and complaints
If you have a question or complaint about the website, please contact us at info@theacsglobal.com, on 07852 878789 (phone or WhatsApp), or by post at the address in section 1. We aim to reply within 5 working days. Complaints about how we use your personal data are covered in section 20 of our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
14Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
