Autumn 2027 deadline: 15 January

Study in Sweden from the UK: the 15 January deadline is closer than you think

Sweden’s research-led universities offer many English-taught master’s programmes, and graduates can stay for a year to look for work. Applications for autumn 2027 close on 15 January 2027, so the time to start is now.

Why Sweden

Why students in the UK choose Sweden

  • English-taught master’s programmes across engineering, sustainability, computing and business.
  • A one-year permit after graduating to look for work or start a business.source
  • You apply from the UK. The residence permit is applied for from outside Sweden and granted before you travel.source
  • One national application website for most universities.source

Sweden suits students who plan ahead: the main deadline is in January for an August or September start, and tuition must be paid before you apply for your permit. If you need to start sooner, Spain, Malta or a German private university may fit better.
