Ali Faraz is the founder of ACS Global Consultants and oversees every guide published on this site.
His career began in 1998, when he started teaching computing at colleges, work he continued until 2007. During those years he also worked in software, spending five years in software quality assurance before moving into development. In 2000 he completed a teacher training programme in Java programming run by the provincial education board.
From 2005 he worked as a software developer in the UK, building systems for business consultancy, recruitment and employment-training companies. At Staffline, from 2013, he headed the development of LearningPlus, a learner management system for its skills division, PeoplePlus. From 2018 he worked on apprenticeship assessment software at Smart Assessor, which became part of Advanced, and he later moved to recruitment technology at Talos360. That work gave him a working knowledge of compliance systems and of how institutions actually operate.
He founded ACS Global Consultants in Birmingham in 2020 and leads it as CEO. His aim is to give students straight answers about which universities and visa routes are realistic for them, what it will really cost, and what the official rules say. Since 2020 ACS has helped students from the UK, the Gulf, South Asia and Africa into universities in the UK, Canada, the USA, New Zealand and across Europe.
Ali holds a master’s degree in computer science.
